Choosing between Rumparooz newborn cloth diaper covers in Unity or Lava? Compare fit, closure options, and color appeal to decide which print suits your baby.
Quick answer
Choose Unity if you want a bee-and-honeycomb print and need to select a closure style; choose Lava if you prefer a solid bright color and want the lower listed price. Both Rumparooz newborn covers share the same 3-rise adjustable fit from 4 to about 15 pounds.
What actually differs between Unity and Lava
The main difference is the print and the available closure options. Unity comes in a bee and honeycomb design and lets you choose a closure style, while Lava is a solid color with no closure options listed. Lava also has a slightly lower catalog price. Otherwise, the Rumparooz newborn cover design is the same: 3 adjustable rise settings and a weight range starting at 4 pounds up to approximately 15 pounds.
When the print or closure choice matters more
If you already know which closure system you prefer—such as snaps or hook-and-loop—Unity’s closure option is a practical advantage because you can match your existing diapering routine. If you are flexible on closure or prefer a simpler solid color, Lava keeps the decision straightforward. Keep in mind that both covers are generously sized for newborns, so the fit range is identical; the choice comes down to aesthetics and closure availability.
Common questions about Rumparooz newborn covers
- Does the color affect fit?
- No. Both Unity and Lava use the same Rumparooz newborn cover design with 3 adjustable rise settings and a weight range of 4 to approximately 15 pounds.
- Can I choose a closure style on both?
- Only Unity lists a closure style option. Lava does not show closure options, so if closure choice matters to you, pick Unity. Check the closure option before ordering if you have a strong preference.
- Which is better for a budget?
- Lava has a lower catalog price (USD 7.99) than Unity (USD 7.67 with a comparison price of USD 10.95). However, prices can change, so verify current pricing at checkout.
- Is Unity or Lava better for a boy or girl?
- Both prints are gender-neutral. Unity’s bee and honeycomb theme and Lava’s bright solid work for any baby; choose based on your personal style.
- How many covers do I need for a newborn?
- The number depends on how often you wash. A common starting point is 6–8 covers, but adjust based on your baby’s output and laundry routine. Factor in drying time if you air-dry covers.
